Joe Pilates recommended 4 private sessions per week. Let’s be honest — not everyone has the budget or time that allows for that.
A successful Pilates routine doesn’t always require using apparatus with a trainer — there are many exercises that your trainer can teach you to use in-between sessions as “homework.” You can supplement one or two of your regular private sessions with exercises that your instructor can teach and monitor you with. These exercises simply use a mat, wall, or other things commonly found in a home so that you can exercise as needed.
After working with you, Kara will make recommendations of “homework” exercises to benefit your body, and monitor your progress with them each week.
Quick Tip
Incorporate Pilates into your everyday movement: think about standing in correct posture when you are waiting for the subway or checking out at the grocery store. For most people, proper standing posture is a workout.
