
Getting her start as a gymnastics “Tumble Tot” at age 3, Kara hasn’t slowed down yet. Whether it was gymnastics, soccer or running track, athletics and movement have always been an integral part of her life. After packing on the pounds from years of business travel, poor diet and grueling hours, Kara changed careers and decided to make her own health and life-long interests more of a priority.
From the moment that you meet Kara, you understand why some of her clients lovingly call her a “force of nature.” You can just tell that everything in her 4’11″ ex-gymnast frame is squarely focused on you.
Despite her nerdy jokes, indie rock quotes and that playful twinkle in her eye, she’s not missing a single trick. This former Financial Analyst and CPA has a way of gathering up seemingly unrelated data about where you at right now and breaking it down into actionable steps, whether it’s working on a reformer or figuring out how to nourish yourself.

Maybe it’s her constant curiosity about food or her studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and the Natural Kitchen Cooking School. Maybe it has been her transition out of an unfulfilling career and eradication of her own health issues, like fatigue, digestive issues and emotional eating. Maybe it’s because she is passionate about what she does. Whatever the reason, Kara gets results. She has even been featured in the 2009 New York Magazine Best of issue, as an apprentice Pilates Instructor at re:AB.
